The Advanced Shotspotter is a script that allows criminals to be reported to the police or other whitelisted jobs when they shoot. A lot of effort was invested to ensure a balance between fairness and PR strain. To achieve this, the Trusted-Studios team utilized the best algorithms and available technologies to ensure immersion without compromising performance.

Features:

• Whitelisted / State Jobs:
  • Whitelist jobs which will be ignored by the shotspotter
  • Set a list of state jobs which will recieve a dispatch when the shotspotter has been triggered
• Outside Zones:
  • Shotspotter will ignore any shooting in outside zones (e.g. mountains)
  • New outside zones can be added in the config file
• Trigger Probability:
  • Set the probability at which the Shotspotter is triggered
  • Set whether suppressed weapons trigger the Shotspotter with a very low probability
  • Melee weapons are ignored by the Shotspotter 
• Extensions:
  • Use extentions to implement your own callout if you don't want to use the default one
  • Easy to use & well documented
• Other:
  • Use postal codes to better indicate the location of the shooting
  • Shotspotter will randomly offset shooting position to make it more difficult to find the suspect
  • Duplicated callouts will be denied by the shotspotter to avoid cluster
  • Callouts can have a set delay in the config file
